Professional chiropractic brand doesn’t guarantee you anything, but without it you don’t stand a chance.
Let’s face it, if you are like most chiropractors, one of the reasons you chose this career was the freedom and independence. We get to set our own practice hours, working as little or as much as we like. We set our own rules, building a practice that reflects us. If we are not careful to keep this freedom in balance, it can come back to hurt our businesses.
We have worked hard to gain the professional title of doctor with all of its benefits (well most of the benefits anyway) and on the other hand we can enjoy the benefits of a laid back approach in our practice, being able to wear the Hawaiian shirts and avoid the sterility of a hospital scrubs. Both of these aspects make our profession great.
I’ve see chiropractic offices go wrong when they forget to maintain the professionalism that makes any business great. Look at any of the most successful businesses who maintain a down to earth, laid back atmosphere and you will also see an unrivaled professionalism. They will put out an excellent product that is both consistent and valuable, and there will be a branding that conveys their message with the greatest of care. In a profession that already struggles with public acceptance like ours, we should be careful not to make it worse with a lack of professionalism.
Are we giving 110% to the way that we brand ours businesses to the public? Do we have a brand that people are able to see and associate with a high quality service? This takes an investment on our part, an investment that pays lasting dividends in our businesses.
